Observations during my unemployment in the month of February:
- The month of February starting on Sunday this year makes a perfect 4 x 7 rectangle on the calender.
- I still feel the same sense of excitement on Fridays and weekends even though I don't have a job Monday through Friday.
- If there is a New Zealand, there where is Zealand?
- It's total BS that married people get taxbreaks just because they're married. I mean, come on! They're a dual income household, what about the single income households with only one income?!
- I prefer the expression "in between jobs".
- Why don't we not pay actors like Julia Roberts $20 million dollars per film to memorize lines that have been written for her by someone else and regurgitate them back for roughly 3-4 months of filming ($20 million for ~4 months work) and instead cut back the cost of a movie ticket to under $10?
February was the month I decided to "take back unemployment!" Make it fun, start taking care of the bucket list rather than fall deeper into depression. Putting together a puzzle and framing it is definitely one of the things that 6 year old megan always thought was a good idea. So why not now? Carpe Diem! (Now I have a 1982 imagined Hershey's chocolate factory on my kitchen wall. Consider the day seized.) See photo of Beth and Beau staying up late to help make dreams come true.
I've got several odd jobs flowing in for the moment that have kept me busy the last week or so which is good news. No steady "professional" type job but fingers are crossed for my "unemployment interview" phone call on Monday.
P.S.
